Expansion for the SGI Dubai Show


Next year’s SGI Dubai exhibition, the region’s largest sign and graphic imaging show, will include an exclusive retail pavilion ‘SGI Retail’ due to the exponentially growing retail industry in the UAE and the Middle East. As per published reports, the UAE retail sector contributes around 14 percent to its GDP and as per industry analysis, it will grow by an average of seven percent by 2015. SGI Middle East is an established business forum where exhibitors and visitors can interact with sign makers, print and production manufacturers, architects, media agencies, real-estate developers, brand and image consultants among others.

Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman of IEC, cmmented: “Forbes magazine rated UAE as the world’s sixth wealthiest nation by GDP per capita income in 2011, surpassing most developed economies from across the globe. This further endorses the fact that the country is on the top in terms of purchasing power and plays a vital role in keeping the domestic retail sector as one of the world’s fastest growing retail marketplace. We are delighted to include another dimension to our show by adding – SGI Retail to the show. I am sure this move will be welcomed by all the players in the retail sector,”

SGI Retail will showcase in its retail signage section, POP/POS and other digital signage products that are integral to this particular market. In addition, the show will have state-of-the-art large format printers from major players from across the globe, as well as substrates, ink and CNC/laser machines. This show will also include seminars and workshops conducted by industry experts and will provide an excellent networking opportunity for industry professionals.

It aims to welcome over 400 global exhibitors from across 30 countries and expects over 10000 trade visitors from 75 countries to visit UAE during the show on 7th-9th January 2014.

International Expo Consults (IEC) subsidiary of Falak Holding is the main organiser of this event.
