MTEX Technologies establishes UK operation

Based in Leicestershire and headed up by Managing Director Stewart Bell, MTEX Technologies has been formed to focus on the sales, support and servicing of all MTEX direct-to-textile products across the UK and Ireland.

Commenting on this new development Stewart Bell explained: “The sales of MTEX printers have increased significantly since they were shown at last year’s FESPA exhibition in London. Accordingly, having previously distributed the machines through Digital Print Innovations, we felt that the MTEX brand should enjoy a more prominent presence within the UK, hence the formation of the new company.

Rick Kwiecien will lead MTEX Technologies’ Technical Business Support division and the team will also include MTEX specialist James Brunton.  It will be located at the company’s new UK training and demonstration centre, which will be centrally based in Leicestershire and is due to open this summer, when it will offer open days and training sessions for MTEX users and others wishing to learn more about digital direct to textile printing options.

Following the formation of MTEX Technologies, Stewart Bell has welcomed a new director, Simeon Wicks, to the Board of his existing print solutions company, Digital Print Innovations (DPI), which has its headquarters in Derby.  Simeon will take an active role in the company, leaving Stewart free to concentrate on MTEX. At the same time, Paul Tomlinson becomes Head of Sales, a role in which he will have the support of the company’s current General Manager, Sandra Wiggins and a newly appointed Business Support Assistant Tracey Whiting.
