The natural look
Leading manufacturer of corporate ID and retail signage solutions, Sign 2000 has completed the exterior signage for the M&S anchor store at the newly redesigned Whiteley Village Shopping Centre near Fareham, Hampshire. The centre will be the largest UK retail development to achieve the BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) rating for excellence.
The exterior signage consisted of six sets of high-level LED-illuminated brand mark letters fitted to various glass, architectural timber and brickwork facades on the M&S site. The signage complemented the overall design and layout of the shopping centre that features double height retail units with oak panelling to correspond with the design of the site which makes use of natural materials and incorporates extensive energy efficient and sustainable features.
Sign 2000 contributes to all aspects of the branding process, from initial concept (including material and construction technique recommendations) through to manufacture, installation and post-project client service and support. Significantly, the company is a key member of The Sign Alliance, a group of complementary and strategically located European sign manufacturers working as information-sharing co-operatives through which projects are centrally managed but locally implemented.
