A new face at Applelec

Applelec has appointed Darrell Barrs to the newly created role of Business Development Manager.

Darrell, who previously served as National Sales Manager for commercial and domestic LED lighting supplier Ledridge Lighting, where he managed a team of five sales reps, is an expert in LED technology and bespoke LED solutions, and has gained experience across the LED industry including supplying the wholesale market.

In his new role Darrell will be responsible for helping to implement the future aims of the company as well as focusing on the development of new markets for Applelec’s growing range of lighting and display products, which include LED LightSheet, I-Sign display frames, flexible LED ribbon light, slim-line illuminated snap frames, non-illuminated I-Sign display frames premium built-up metal letters and luxury acrylic illuminated letters.

He said: I’m delighted to be part of the team at Applelec as I know that the company works hard to deliver excellent levels of customer service and this is something I have always felt passionate about too. The dedication of the team here is something I’ll be communicating to the clients I’ll be working with over coming months, along with introducing an innovative and solutions driven product range.’

Darrell, who will be based in the Leicestershire area, joins Applelec’s two existing Business Development managers, Carole Waite  Waite and Andy Armitage, who each focus on component supply and solutions driven manufacturing for Applelec’s three main business areas; signs, displays and lighting.
