SENFA presents new sustainable products

At FESPA Global Print Expo 2019 SENFA is highlighting its eco-friendly product design strategy to provide sustainable media with the addition of further products to its Alternative Collection of recycled printable fabrics.

These include ALTIMIS, an easy-to-install, printable textile product, which offers a greener alternative to PVC substrates. It is woven using 100 percent recycled fibres and then coated with SENFA’s trademark smooth finish, thus ensuring stunning backlit graphics with all the necessary fire-retardancy certification.

It is ideally suited for use with lightbox applications, providing an easy to install solution for vibrant, eye-catching colour displays.  In addition to UV printing, the product can also be used in conjunction with the dye-sublimation transfer process.

Also on display on SENFA’s stand (Stand D20, Hall B6) is the company’s award-winning ALTERRA product. The 2017 SGIA Product of the Year offers a greener alternative to PVC substrates, while still meeting the exacting demands of international brands and advertisers.

Another stand attraction is SUBLIMIS, a versatile media for use with transfer and direct sublimation printing using water-based and UV-curable ink. Launched in 2018, and voted the SGIA Product of the Year 2018 in the media/textile/framing category, it is an extremely lightweight product, making it easy to transport and install for backlit applications, while also enabling high quality, high definition printing.

Following new partnership arrangements, visitors to FESPA can also see SUBLIMIS in action on the HP and Monti Antonio stands where its capabilities as a premium print media can be further appreciated.

SENFA is also FESPA 2019 to promote THEATER BLACK BACK (205g/m²), a material that delivers excellent image quality and provides a total blockout of all light from behind thanks to its solid black back. It can be printed on the textile side using both UV-curable ink and direct sublimation methods to produce striking visual communications and is ideal for use with banner and frame systems, as well as for short-term outdoor events. Theater Black Back is another lightweight product, which is easy to install and is a good alternative to PVC substrates with fire certification M1 / B1. It is newly available in product widths up to 5.10m.

Further exciting new products on the SENFA stand include ECHOSIDE 60 textile. These multi-sensory interior textile substrates are designed to create a unique atmosphere for decorated spaces. Thanks to acoustic coating ECHOSIDE 60 solutions are capable of absorbing sound reverberation in a room as the fabric absorbs sound and in particular, reverberation from speech thus positively transforming the experience of being in busy spaces, such as offices, restaurants, meeting rooms and more.

In addition to its acoustic properties, ECHOSIDE 60 can be digitally printed with UV-curable and Latex inks, without affecting its noise reduction properties. By using it as a wall hanging, a wall can be transformed into a communication medium or a customised design element, thus optimally meeting the technical and aesthetic requirements for public and private spaces. It iis certified M1 / B1 / Bs1d0 and A+.

Finally, as the materials within the Alternative Collection range are made from recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic bottles, visitors at FESPA 2019 will be invited to recycle their plastic bottles on the stand using the ALT’Collector and will have the opportunity to win a special prize.
