Signs 24-7 earns top safety accreditation
Hartford-based Signs 24-7 has once again been awarded accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace.

Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading accreditation scheme that recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. It is used by thousands of organisations in the UK, including SMEs and FTSE 100 companies.

The accreditation plays a vital role in Signs 24-7 delivering nationwide projects for clients such as Moto, Costa and M&S, as well as demonstrating that the business is fully compliant with Construction Design and Management Regulations that help to ensure all projects are planned with safety in mind.

The process to ensure that Signs 24-7 maintained its SafeContractor status was once again overseen by Health and Safety Manager Emilie Davies, who commented: “To hear that we had received the SafeContractor accreditation for the fourth year in a row was fantastic, as we’re constantly striving to ensure the company adheres to the highest health and safety standards as possible.

“It also provides peace of mind to our clients who know that when they work with Signs 24-7 they can rely on us to ensure projects are carried out with safety and security at the forefront of everything we do.”

Gemma Archibald, Chief Operating Officer of Alcumus SME, said: “Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.

“More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Signs 24-7 has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example, which hopefully, will be followed by other companies within the sector. SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”

Having been operational for over ten years, Signs 24-7 produces signage and graphics in-house for businesses of any size and recently completed a comprehensive window vinyl project on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester Council.
