Signs Express Norwich upgrades to a Tekcel router

Due to ongoing expansion and development, Signs Express Norwich has recently upgraded its equipment and recruited additional staff.

The company has acquired a Tekcel 4m x 2m flatbed CNC router, which was purchased with help from HSBC, New Anglia Growth Hub, Suffolk County Council, the European Regional Development Fund, the Small Grant Scheme and Complete CNC Solutions.

The CNC Router will enable Signs Express Norwich to improve its quality control, continuity, response time, flexibility and product innovation, while also providing it with a greater competitive edge in the marketplace.

Ken Venables, the centre’s franchisee said, “We have provided a consistent service with our previous equipment, but as technology progresses, we came to a point where an upgrade was required. We opted for a larger equipment solution, choosing the four-metre bed option over a three-metre, as the additional length will provide far more flexibility and capacity, thus improving our productivity”.

The installation of the router is part one of a four-phase plan for updating and improving the production centre with over £85k invested so far.
