Soyang to highlight PVC banner recycling scheme

Soyang Europe will bring its innovative print waste recycling partnership, developed and set with waste management specialists Blue Castle Group, to this year’s Print Show, which will take place at Birmingham’s NEC on 17th-19th September.

The scheme offers a much sought-after solution to the industry’s PVC waste dilemma and aims to pioneer the use of PVC banner material as an environmentally sustainable substrate.

Renowned for its substantial range of printable media, ranging from textiles to self-adhesive vinyls and flooring to wallpaper, Soyang Europe has seen growing demand from its customers to find a solution for recycling PVC banner material.

Mark Mashiter, Soyang Europe’s Managing Director, reported: “Uptake of the scheme has been extremely positive since its launch and The Print Show presents an ideal opportunity to introduce it to a wider audience so that visitors can discuss its merits face to face with members of both the Soyang and Blue Castle teams.”

Blue Castle Group is an established waste and energy consultancy based in Lincolnshire that has developed and rigorously tested the machinery and processes required to convert PVC banner into a reusable format.

The company’s CEO, Marie Harley, commented: “We’re enjoying disrupting the print industry with the recycling scheme! Due to the complexity of the challenge, it’s been several years in the making, but close collaboration with our partner companies has enabled us to bring it to life. We’re thoroughly looking forward to engaging further with printers at the exhibition.”

Soyang Europe and Blue Castle can be found on stand P126 in Hall 9 at The Print Show and further information on the scheme can be found by visiting or telephoning 0161 765 3400.
