swissQprint offers orange ink and varnish options

Sign and print companies which appreciate the versatility offered by swissQprint’s flatbed and roll-to-roll printers will welcome the introduction of two new options that are designed to further broaden the application scope of the machines.

In order to reproduce corporate colours even more accurately and to expand the overall colour gamut, a new orange ink is now available. This can be either be used in combination with process colours, or directly as a spot colour. Its colour values are essentially the same as Pantone 021, a fresh, bright orange and it is designed to complement standard ink sets for swissQprint LED flatbed printers and the Karibu roll to roll printer.

In addition, swissQprint has also developed a highly flexible varnish for the Karibu printer. Users can now apply partial coats, together with optional multiple layers to create appealing visual and tactile effects that can be used to accentuate patterns on wallpaper, or to produce elegant lacquer lettering on dark roll media.

Further, a varnish coating overprinted on process inks provides an attractive gloss finish, while also making the ink layer more resistant to water and solvents, thus providing a practical solution for printed products that endure particularly heavy wear and/or regular cleaning.

As with all other swissQprint colour channels, the orange and varnish channels can be retrofitted or reequipped on existing LED printers at any time, enabling existing swissQprint users to benefit from these new innovations too.
