A tour de force!
Harrisons Signs was commissioned to design, print and install what could well be the largest yellow jersey for the Tour de France visit to York!
The mesh banner, measuring a huge 225sq metres was printed in four sectionsthat were heat welded together to make an impressive 15m x 15m graphic of the Tour’s iconic yellow jersey, before installation at the topof York Minste’sr Central Tower in readiness for the second Stage of the world’s most prestigious cycle race.
Commenting on the project, David Robinson, Harrison Signs’ Production Director said: “It was a mammoth sized print but, since it also weighed 140kg, the most challenging part of the job was undoubtedly carrying it up the 275 steps inside the central tower, which turned out to be a real test of endurance for the staff assigned to its installation!
