William Smith has been appointed UK Master Distributor for 3M’s Solar and Safety Film business, with effect from 1st January 2015.
Commenting on this move, David Cox, European Market Manager for 3M Renewable Energy Divisionsaid“We’re delighted to announce this appointment. As a knowledgeable and experienced trade supplier of innovative products to the UK sign and digital print sectors, William Smith is ideally placed to distribute 3M’s portfolio of solar and safety film products.
He added: “Since patenting the first solar reflective window film in 1966, 3M has continued to push boundaries in energy conservation, solar protection, comfort, safety and security by delivering technological advancements in glazing enhancement to buildings, vehicles and their occupants.”
Established in 1832, William Smith now offers one of the largest and most comprehensive ranges of signmaking materials in the UK, with most materials being available ex-stock.
William Smith General Manager, Stuart Taylor said: “We are proud to represent 3M’s Renewable Energy Division with a focus on solar and safety window films. It means that there is now a single point of contact for these high quality specialist products. Our staff will be fully trained with a thorough knowledge of the materials and will be able to offer advice and back-up to customers.”
William Smith will be distributing all Solar Control, Safety and Security, and Automotive Window film ranges, including a number of products not previously available to UK customers.
David Cox continued: “3M customers who already qualify will remain 3M Certified Window Film Dealers and will continue to be able to offer the 3M Warranty and leads and samples will continue to be provided through William Smith
3M Solar and Safety window film products will be available ex-stock from William Smith, with next day delivery on full or part rolls ordered up to 6pm.
